HI. So here's the deal, I was going to take Film Studies in Uni, but then I realised that I didn't feel completely at ease taking it. I want to study films, how they work, what draws you in etc, but a teacher of mine told me that now, after taking Film Studies, he's always analyzing whenever he watches something. I do like this idea, but I don't know...I don't want to land myself in a load of jeopardy....courses are £3k. So I've decided to go to the subject that rivalled Film Studies for me, Illustration \m/
I feel good about it now, but I also feel kind of lost. (We don't have Major and Minors here, well, we do but you have to go to the right place to find that. Anyways, it's a long story but I'm not looking at places that offer them. I think we go before you guys in the US? I don't know how it works very well)
Deciding what to take in uni is such a big step... sometimes I feel like I wasn't designed to live past eighteen, I like being seventeen! I don't want to turn eighteen. I feel too young to be deciding on something that will have an impact on my career, and therefore life !!
Our Personal Statements need to be in so soon .I should have sent off my application form last week .Im glad I didnt LOL or Id be doing Film Studies.
And theres the interview to worry about. And the portfolio.
Anyways, DA is such a comforting site, lol. So...what are you guys going to take in college/uni?
AND
If there are any illustration students reading this, what benefits do you draw from it? Do you enjoy it? Any advice?
p.s I'm sorry I haven't been commenting at all recently....I promise I will have replied to each and every one of you come Christmas Holidays !! That's my break. They start on the 19th for us.
